Green Turtle Lodge is a traditionally-styled guesthouse situated on a stunning, palm-lined beach in the lush and tropical Western Region of Ghana. Opened in 2004, Green Turtle is a travellers’ haven, where memories are made, friendships are founded and where many people end up staying longer than planned.

At Green Turtle Lodge we aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere where guests can comfortably experience Ghanaian culture, cuisine and hospitality. We are located on an isolated beach close to the fishing village of Akwidaa, 10km west of the historical town of Dixcove, twinned with the popular Busua.

Our philosophy is to practise and promote ECO-Tourism or Environment and Community Oriented Tourism. We believe that sensitive and responsible tourism can have a positive impact on the local community and environment.
